Toooo busy this week!

I am really wanting to post some pictures of Vermont but this has been the craziest, busiest week ever, I honestly don't have time. I keep thinking I'll get caught up on my sleep from the Vermont trip, jet lag and all but haven't yet. And then there was the new baby... now I am up at Scout Camp at Big Lake, trying to stay behind the scenes and help out a little there. Leaving for Flagstaff later this afternoon and then back tomorrow in time to go back up to Big Lake and be there for the campfire tomorrow night. Linde and I are picking Kyron and Kason up in Kingman, as they've been visiting friends and family in Vegas. Aside from that I just felt the uncontrollable need to snuggle little Kali Jett again!!
Nate, Jen and family will be camping with us at Big Lake starting Thursday morning. We are excited about that. I'm loving being outdoors and on the mountain, making the leave and distance from Vermont a little easier to bear, if that's at all possible. I've had some quiet time and have had the peaceful opportunity to know how blessed I am to have the wonderful people in my life that I love. Nature seems to have a way of bringing out the deep sentiments I guess. It's beautiful on the mountain, the little Scout boys are so dang cute and all over the place. It's fun to watch them and takes me back years when Nate, Dan and Tim were scouters. And yes, I miss that. I'll post Vermont pictures next week and give you all and update on the "other love of my life." (VERMONT) ps saw a deer and fairly new little fawn this morning early.

SUGAR AND SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE....

And she sure is everything nice!

Luke and Linde welcomed little Miss Kali Jett Woolf on Monday, July 21st. She weighed 5 lbs. 12 oz. and was 17 3/4 " long. She's a compact little bundle and so darling! (proud Grammie?) She's a month early but doing so great and was able to go home the next day to... Kyron, Kason, Kenzi and Kooper! They all are so proud and think she's the most beautiful baby in the world. Kyron and Kason are sure she looks just like their Mom, Kenzi stands guard and has Kali in her arms constantly! Kooper squeals with delight when he sees her, not really sure yet what she's all about but loves to give her kisses. I was thrilled to be there when she was born! I made it with less than 5 minutes to spare, amazing. Steve would be surprised how fast I can make it to Flagstaff when it concerns a new grandbaby! There really is nothing like a new baby!! I always feel that much closer to heaven when I get to witness such a precious miracle. So, thank you Linde and Luke for sharing this little girl with Grammie. I'm so glad she waited for me to return from Vermont! Love you all!

SNAKES AND SNAILS AND PUPPY DOG TAILS....

Last week we found a snake, played with puppy dogs and here we are this week into snail hunting. Yesterday we had a day that was made just for kids! (and Grammie) First we started with fishing at Nelson Reservoir. For the first time in quite a few years, I now am the proud owner of a $40 fishing license! We didn't have much luck fishing ( I'm not as good at worms and power bait as Uncle Tim but I gave it a valiant effort)After fishing we moved on to "Snail hunting" at Hulsey Lake. Kyron, Kason and Kenzi each found their quota of "pet" snails. We went on a little hike where the boys discovered some rocks to climb so they had a blast doing that. We fished, hiked, laughed, squealed, giggled and finished the excursion with ICE CREAM and PIE at Bear Wallow. What a terrific day! (needless to say, we ALL slept through the entire night! and that includes Grammie!) Kyron and Kason rock climbing.

FUN ON THE MOUNTAIN

Kyron, Kason, Kenzi and Nash

Sneaking boys, they really did get close, much closer!

Our first sighting of the trip. New babies!

Yesterday afternoon Grampa came home a little early, loaded up the Prowler, three grandkids, and Grammie and off we went to go camping on the mountain. On the way out of town we made a stop at Arby's and then we were off for an adventure. We quickly unloaded everything and then piled into the Prowler. Kyron, Kason and Kenzi were sure excited to try to see some ELK. And boy, did we ever! What a blast they had seeing how close they could get to the herd! Grampa and I really enjoyed ourselves also. And of course, Nash was along for the fun!

SUMMER FUN

THE "DOG DAYS" OF SUMMER

Kooper enjoyed the puppies too!

Kenzi has been enjoying the "dog days" of summer! LITERALLY! We have good friends around the corner (The Merrill's) who let us "adopt" these puppies for hours at a time. (There are seven of them) Linde and the kids have spent the last week with us. Every day Kenzi, Kooper and Grammie take a little ride in the prowler and return with however many puppies Kenz decides we need that day. We've had as many as five. The last couple of days she has given them baths and brushed them. They return home smelling good and well loved. The joy of puppies! I'm thinking this is pretty great as they can be returned! I hope sometime soon though that Kenzi has a home where she can have a puppy of her own, that's this little girl's dream! Kenzi with her "adopted" puppies.

Pure JOY!

Heaven for Kenzi!

HAPPY 29TH BIRTHDAY LINDE!!!

Today is Linde's 29th birthday! I can't believe she is 29, Wow! Where do the years go? I just wanted to wish her the happiest of days. If anyone in this world deserves a Happy Birthday it's Linde. She always thinks of others before herself and makes motherhood look like a piece of cake. Her days are filled with love for her husband and their growing little family, as well as for the rest of us. We're very blessed to have her in our lives! From day one she's been a joy to her Dad and I.(I dare say to her brothers and sister as well)Thank you Linde for making all these years a complete pleasure. And too, for sharing your little ones with Dad and me. Nothing makes us happier than grandkids. We love you and hope your day is as half as wonderful as you are.!! LINDE AND KOOPER
